We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician (Fitter) to join our Darwin Operations, based in Berrimah.  You will be well rewarded, residentially based and valued as you contribute to our growth.

RAM Services is currently looking for a Mechanical Technician (Fitter) to join our growing facilities maintenance business.
 

Job Description

Due to continued success, RAMS are seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician to join the team in our NATA accredited Berrimah facility.

Your mechanical skills, knowledge and experience will directly contribute to the value that RAM Services provide our clients in the energy, marine and infrastructure industries.  

You will be trusted to work with autonomy on a wide variety of equipment, and provided with ongoing training, support and opportunities for career development.  

This is a Darwin based, residential full-time role, working Monday – Friday with some remote travel at times.

•    A self-starter, working with minimal supervision and willing to own the task.
•    Ability to think outside the box with technical solutions and ideas for improvement.
•    Good mechanical diagnostic skills
•    Service, repair and testing of industrial compressors, pumps and blowers.
•    Rotating equipment alignment
•    Service, repair and testing of pressure relief and/or safety valves.
•    Flange management and alignment.

Skills and Experience 

Required Qualifications and Tickets:
•    Mechanical Trade (Cert III Engineering) or an equivalent recognised trade certificate
•    Current Drivers Licence
•    Nationally recognised Construction Card (White Card)
•    Full Australian work rights
Desirable
•    Experience working within the hydrocarbon industry.
•    Familiarity with quality assured processes such as NATA and ISO standards
•    Hydrostatic Testing of pressure vessels and hoses, calibration of pressure gauges and torque wrenches
•    Senior First Aid (obtained in the past 2 years),
•    Working at Heights
•    Elevated Work Platform
•    Confined Space Entry
•    Forklift
•    Breathing Apparatus
Essential:
•    Reliable transport
•    Able to pass industry medicals and Drug and Alcohol screening
•    Criminal history check
