RAM Services is currently seeking Trades Assistants to support high-performing maintenance and project teams within live hydrocarbon facilities. This position is Darwin residential.

Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION:

Position Responsibilities

SAFETY, HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT

Be proactive in identifying hazards, developing safety procedures, and encouraging continuous improvement in relation to HSE.

Assist in identifying hazards, advising on safety procedures, and monitoring work practices to ensure adherence to correct procedures and standards for safety and environmental performance. Support the RAM Services quality, safety, health, and environmental management systems by:

  • Reporting to your Supervisor or QHSE Adviser any situation that could result in harm to a person, the environment or may adversely affect the services we provide our customers.
  • Report to your Supervisor or QHSE Adviser any opportunities that you believe would improve the quality of service we provide our customers or could reduce the potential for harm to people or the environment.
  • Understand and support the annual QHSE objectives.

To immediately pause, STOP or make safe any work condition or activity that could result in immediate harm.  Immediately notify either by phone or in person the responsible line manager and the QHSE adviser.

CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS

Communicate with internal and external customers on a day-to-day basis, to plan work, keep

them informed of progress, resolve any issues of concern, and identify variations or additional work.

OPERATIONAL PERFORMANCE

  • Support other trades, teams and service providers to execute work in compliance with safety requirements, task instructions and supervisor direction.
  • Be pro-active in identifying solutions and improvements to tasks and activities.

Maintain a high level of communication and cooperative working relationships with all parties including field-based workers and office based staff.

OTHER

Undertake other tasks to support the project or business operations as required.

 

Desired Skills and Experience

SELECTION CRITERIA:

 

ESSENTIALS:

  • Current “C” class driver’s license
  • High Risk License – Fork Lift,
  • Site based experience in construction industry, maintenance in an industrial environment or heavy industry.
  • White Card (construction site card)
  • Ability to communicate
  • Good organizational skills, work ethic and personal initiative.
  • Ability to work independently or within a small team.

DESIRABLE:

  • Current “HR” driver’s License
  • Working at Heights
  • LVR & CPR Qualification
  • High Risk License – EWP, Cranes, Dogging, Rigging ETC
  • Confined space entry
